Mansion Wedding Venues in and around Austin, TX
Wedding venues in Austin, Texas have so much to offer! Whether you’re looking for something intimate out in nature, or a chic barn house feel, if you can imagine it, you can probably find it in the greater Austin area! One thing that you’ll find plenty of are beautiful mansion venues! These are for the couples who dream of living out a piece of their Bridgerton fantasy or for the ones who just want to feel like they can party in the old money luxury of the roaring 20’s! Here are some venues that you just can’t miss.

The Grand Lady
19704 Hog Eye Road, Manor TX 78653
A local favorite around Austin Texas is The Grand Lady in Manor, TX! I’ve attended weddings there, shot there, and met plenty of other people who have fulfilled their mansion wedding dreams here!
The Grand Lady’s connection to the Central Texas wedding scene goes wayyyyy back! The mansion was originally built in 1881 as a wedding gift for the owner’s Colonial mansion that it is today. It sits on 20 acres, lush with the natural wonder of the Texas Hill Country. The house itself is replete with classic, dark wood details and brightly sunlit natural spaces. As you get ready for your wedding day, it boasts plenty of large spaces for you and every member of your wedding party to get dressed and relax at the start of the day. You don’t have to worry about having a space to get ready and one to take pictures in a clear space after you’re done. That’s something I encourage couples to do to have clean looking getting ready photos and you can read more about that by downloading my wedding guide here.
You can choose from a number of spaces for your wedding ceremony depending on what you need! Most people opt for the front lawn with the mansion behind them but you can also choose to have the ceremony in the back of the property overlooking their flower garden! The venue has an in house floral service, Grand Lady Floral, and when it’s in season, their garden is an explosion of color that would make your wedding photos look like a natural wonder!
For your reception, you can also choose the space in front of the flower garden or their beautiful reception hall. For smaller, intimate weddings in cooler seasons, the flower garden would be the perfect reception space. Couples have set up long tables under the pergola and enjoyed an evening under the stars. For the average sized to larger weddings, their reception hall is perfect! It’s modern but somehow compliments the old school class of the mansion so well! Floor to ceiling glass windows overlook the natural landscape and can frame up your head table so well!
I shot a wedding here in the spring and they took care of my couple so well! The venue manager Elaina was on the ball all day and recently I met the owner, Katie, at a vendor event and she remembered my clients by name! I would only ever want my couples to go somewhere they are really known and cared for by their vendors and that made me feel great about how they care for their couples.

The Allan House
1104 San Antonio St.. Austin, Texas 78701
Smack dab in the heart of Austin, we find The Allan House! Not even a ten minute walk from the Texas State Capitol building, you could not possibly find a mansion venue firmly situated in downtown Austin!
Originally built in 1883, it served as a private residence until it was donated to the city under the provision that it would be a school, which it became. It served a few different purposes throughout its life until it became an event venue in 2000.
The venue boasts many beautiful, naturally lit spaces all filled with classic details and architecture, but its biggest claim is the beauty of its garden! With stunning old growth oak shading the courtyard, your dream of a luxury garden party is right at hand! Outside of the colder months you can enjoy the beauty of an open air garden surrounded by oak trees that preserve the intimacy of the space even while being in the heart of downtown. In the few cold months that Austin experiences, the venue staff puts up a stunning tent over the whole space. The tent is heated and they keep it classy so you can still experience the garden party year round. When I toured the venue, they had the tent up and chandeliers hanging from the trees!
You can choose from any of their three spaces for you ceremony and reception! The courtyard is their biggest space, their indoor space is the second biggest, and their veranda is built for intimate wedding ceremonies or receptions!
Capacity: 50-250
Distance to Austin Bergstrom Airport: 20-30 minutes
Other Amenities: Venue access for a two hour photoshoot on a separate day!
Barr Mansion
10463 Sprinkle Rd, Austin, TX 78754
Barr Mansion is built around a historic barn house that was originally constructed in 1898. The current owner, Abby Daigle, saw the deteriorating historic structure and saw a perfect canvas to create a beautiful space to host people’s dream weddings in Austin. One thing I’d never seen before is a space that has so many choices for ceremony spaces! The venue has 8 separate ceremony spaces; the Arch Garden ceremony space, the Pecan Tree ceremony space, Rose Garden ceremony space, Ballroom Glass Wall ceremony space, Farmstead ceremony space, Ballroom Grotto ceremony space, Farmstead Brick Wall ceremony space, Farmstead Winter Wall ceremony space, You can see them all here!
The entirety of the grounds are fantastically and uniquely designed! With towering floor to ceiling windows, their ballroom offers you a truly unique space to enjoy natural light at your wedding. The attention to detail in regard to their greenery is also something that sets the venue apart. It feels like the whole space is one with the natural splendor of the Texas Hill Country.
This design also serves to do more than create a certain aesthetic. The design speaks to Barr Mansion’s philosophy around its stewardship of the land. The venue strives to be a part of its own green movement! It has made an effort to be a zero waste facility and diverts 97% of all waste away from landfills!
A friend of mine use to tend bar there and couldn’t have been happier with how well the management treated their workers and their couples. He even had his sister get married there!
How many of us would ever invite our family to our workspace, especially for something so crucial as their wedding?
Capacity: 300
Distance to Austin Bergstrom Airport: 20-25 minutes
